What is MyRather?
MyRather is a fun new addition to the world wide web. Basically, it is an interactive community version of the popular conversation game, commonly known as “Would You Rather?”. This is the place for you to voice your opinions on all of life’s most important and life-changing decisions like these.
Why should I sign up?
Although you are more than welcome to read through our growing archive of Rathers as a visitor, there’s really not much more you can do without an account. With an account you can vote on Rathers, see results, read and write Rambles, cast opinions, collect points, and submit your own Rathers. Creating an account is super quick, easy, and best of all FREE, so signup now.
How do you play?
The game is pretty simple and self-explanatory. Everyday, we will post several new Rathers to your inbox, and it is your job to answer them. Unanswered Rathers are marked with a big red “X”, while Rathers marked with a big green checkmark mean that your vote has already been cast. Make sure to choose your answer wisely as they are permanent and “neither” is never an option here.
What is a Rather / Ramble?
A Rather is dilemma consisting of two equally balanced sides, each with their own pros and cons of which you must choose one side. A Ramble is a way for people to voice their opinions on the dilemma at hand and explain why they chose the side they did. Everyone’s reasoning and logic is different when choosing a Rather, so we encourage meaningful dialogue, discussion, and debate on each and every Rather.
Why can’t I Rather / Ramble?
You must have an account and be logged in in order to Rather. If you don’t have an account, sign up now. Also, keep in mind that even if you are logged in, you can not read or write Rambles until after you have voted on the specific Rather in question. We can’t have you succumbing to peer pressure now can we? Vote on the Rather and try again.
What is my inbox?
Your inbox is where we post all of your unanswered Rathers so that you can easily find and answer them. Your goal is to empty your inbox and keep it that way for as long as possible.
What are points?
Points are basically just random arbitrary numbers that we reward you with for doing things on our website, that in all likelihood, you would probably do anyway. But we do suggest that you collect as many of them as you can, because you never know what they might actually be worth.
Can I change my vote?
No more than you can change your sex. Okay, maybe that’s not an air-tight analogy as you can’t even change your vote with drastic and quite disturbing plastic surgery. The point is that once your vote is cast, it’s final. There is no going back. So ponder hard and choose wisely.
Why should I fill out my profile?
Your profile is your way to show off your personality, promote your blog or website, and share links to your favorite social networking profiles like Myspace, Twitter, and Facebook.
What should I put in my bio?
That you are “an acne prone virgin with a toxic stench of nose-hair-burning body odor and two left feet.” We don’t know. Write something about yourself.
What makes a good Rather?
A good Rather must always consist of two well balanced situations that directly relate to one another either by topic or by consequence. Choosing one side over the other should always be a tough decision which involves a real trade off of consequence. A bad Rather either has two options that don’t relate to each other in any way or one side is an obvious choice for the majority of people.
Will my submitted Rather be edited?
Most likely. We’ve come to the realization that most young, Internet savvy people can’t spell to save their lives, so we often have to fix a few mistakes. Also, there are times when we might even have to change the content of the Rather just a little bit in order to make it more balanced or appealing. We’ll be nice though, and still give you credit.
Why aren’t my submitted Rathers being posted?
Probably because they suck, bad. In order to have the best chance of getting your Rather posted on the site, we suggest you first learn what makes a good Rather. Also, you need to keep in mind the we get like a hundred million bazillion Rathers submitted to us every day. There’s obviously no way we can post all of those, so we only keep the very best. Sometimes though, if we really like your Rather, we might keep it around a while before posting it.
Can I change my username?
No. Your username is permanent, must be unique, and is always used to access your account. However, in your profile, you may specify an nickname you’d like and can use that as your display name throughout the site.
I forgot my password, what should I do?
First, stop getting high and your memory might improve. Second, lets just hope you remembered your email address. Third, click here to get a new one.
I am offended by something on the site, what can I do?
Every Rather comes with an Opinion box where you can proudly voice displeasure. If that’s not enough, you can also Ramble on about it. Beyond that, all you need to do is grow up and get a sense of humor.
Where is the “secret spot”?
Do you know what “secret” means? Obviously we can’t tell you, but it is pretty freaking awesome. It’s kinda like the G Spot, but way better. If you find it and click it, you will be rewarded heavily with much more than squirting orgasms. Look very carefully though, as it might be hiding anywhere.
