Features & Feedback

September 8, 2009

Okay boys and girls, the community is slowly growing, so keep it up.  In the meantime, we want your feedback.  In the comments section, take a few minutes to tell us what you think of the site and the game as a whole.  We have a bunch of cool new features we are working on that will make the entire site a lot more fun, but we also want your ideas, so tell us.

Here are some of the features we are currently developing which should be available very soon:

  • add/follow friends
  • top users ranking page
  • search your friends by email, name, location, etc.
  • block users
  • subscribe to email, text message, and twitter alerts
  • receive comment replies in your inbox
  • easily comment, leave reactions, add friends, etc. directly from the live feed
  • moderate Rather submissions before they are posted to the site
  • sort the live feed to view just your friend’s activity
  • Facebook Connect integration

So let us know what you think so far, and if there is anything else that you think will make the site more fun and interesting, tell us.

That’s it for now.

The Next Internet Crack?

September 1, 2009

Welcome to MyRather, the best thing to happen to the Internet since Al Gore. That’s right, we said it. Today is the first day of our existence on the web, and with your help, we hope to become the greatest form of Internet crack to ever hit cyberspace. Our goal is to give you another reason to ignore your teachers and piss off your boss by giving you just one more opportunity to postpone your responsibilities and procrastinate on the Internet. Afterall, in this 21st century, isn’t that what life is all about? We think so too. So here’s our promise to you…

Starting today, we promise to provide you with a never ending stream of original, thought-provoking, and often humorous dilemmas that can be used to entertain your brain, start a conversation at the bar, or laugh about with friends. We will post several new original Rathers each and everyday for you to vote on and enjoy, and as the community grows, we will increase the amount of daily posts to keep up with your insatiable demand.

We are very excited for the future and to see all the differing reactions, opinions, and dialogues sparked by each and every new dilemma. With your help, we hope to build MyRather into a flourishing, online community and a fun and entertaining addition to your Internet surfing routine.
